Can a Christian Lose Salvation? Exploring the Bible’s Perspective

I remember a conversation with a close friend about what it truly means to be a Christian. They asked, “If someone accepts Christ but later strays from their faith, can they lose their salvation?” It’s a profound question, and the Bible has a lot to say on the subject.

Salvation is such a cornerstone of our faith, and in my own journey, understanding the permanence of God’s gift has brought immense peace. A Christian, as defined by scripture, isn’t simply someone who grew up in a Christian household or attends church sporadically. It’s about having a deep, personal relationship with Christ, fully trusting Him as Savior, and receiving the Holy Spirit (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8–9).
